A retired environmental physicist, Douglas has a Ph.D. in engineering from Harvard University, an M.S. in physics from Penn State University, and an A.B. in physics from Cornell University. His professional work centered on environmental issues, and he was elected Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Sciences.
Saundra K. Hathaway
Saundra holds a B.A. in English and brings more than three decades of documented success for clients in business, technical, and creative writing and copy-editing. She has in-depth experience in a variety of genres, including newspaper and magazine articles, annual reports, web content, brochures, and event materials. In 2011 and 2012, she won Graphic Design USA’s American Graphic Design Award for her copywriting excellence.
For more than two decades, Saundra has worked with numerous clients and their partners to research, plan, write, and edit federal, state, and private grants, and on numerous occasions, she has taught classes and been a speaker on grant writing at state and national conventions.
Saundra co-authored M>PWR Chicago: A Report on Strategy Recommendations to Empower Youth with Disabilities,commissioned and published by the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation; five peer-reviewed chapters of Employment Experiences and Outcomes for Youth and Adults with Learning Disabilities: Status of Empirical Research and the Implications for Adult Education, published by the National Institute for Literacy in Learning to Achieve; and Natural Supports in Action: Strategies to Facilitate Supports of Workers with Disabilities.
She also contributed content and served as a practitioner reviewer for two publications produced by the Center for the Study of Social Policy: Strengthening Families: A Guidebook for Early Childhood Programs and Building Capacity for Local Decision Making, a series of learning guides.
Susan provides book and article ghostwriting and developmental editing services to authors, along with coaching services with respect to publishing, marketing, and branding.
Susan is the author of 20 books. STEALING FIRE took honors in a 2014 literary competition; FORWARD TO CAMELOT (with Kevin Finn) was honored in three literary competitions and was optioned for film production by a Hollywood company. Both books became top-10 Amazon bestsellers. In REALIZING YOU (with Ron Doades), Susan created a new genre, the self-help novel. All three novels were published within a 90-day period in 2013.
Susan has also written 17 young-adult books, including biographies, histories, sports, fashion, and titles for five Y/A girl’s fiction series. She has also been a sportswriter, screenwriter, journalist,

Sarah Buell Dowling
Sarah is an award-winning artist and illustrator. Her illustrations and the cartoons she creates with her husband, Michael Dowling, add graphic interest and whimsy to the printed text.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Sarah continued her post-graduate studies at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, and with numerous nationally recognized artists.
She has illustrated three books and several children’s toys. One of these toys received the Toys of the Year award from Parenting Magazine; another was a Children’s Book of the Month Club Main Selection.
